We offer opportunities for shooters at all levels to sharpen their skills and learn new things.  Our focus is on providing nationally recognized and standardized learning with an emphasis on safety.

 

CFI Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting

This is a fun and interactive way of learning new skills or brushing up on existing ones. The course is run over a two day period – or several weeks and is dictated by the Instructor.

 

Club Safety & Orientation Course & Instructors Training Program
Your Club – Your Course – Your Way!

The CFI has developed a nationally recognized Shooting Club Safety Course that can be adopted to fit the needs of your club and deliver to the new members of your club.. The instructor’s course is approx. 14 hours and is held over two days.
Day 1– CFI Shooting Club Safety Course
Day 2 -Shooting Club Safety Course Instructor’s Training.

Deliverable: Instructors Manual for the CFI Shooting Club Safety Course, teaching aids, Power Point presentation on USB. If requested The CFI staff would be happy to work with the individual clubs to customize the safety course to reflect the specific needs of the clubs.

Graduates will be certified to deliver the CFI Shooting Club Safety Course at the club level.

  • Non-Partners $295.00 + HST (includes a CFI Individual Partnership $45.00)

CFI Range Officer Course

This is an innovative comprehensive nonspecific course featuring the responsibilities, requirements and procedures needed to be an effective club level Range Officer. It provides individuals with the knowledge, training and confidence to provide a safe shooting environment. Graduates are certified to perform the duties of Range Officer at any CFI Partner Club’s range or as approved by individual clubs.
Prerequisite: Valid RPAL or PAL
Time: One Day
Fees: $100.00 (CFI Members $55.00)

 

CFI Basic Holster Certification Course

This course is designed to introduce shooters to the fundamentals of holster shooting and is designed to allow individuals to safely and competently execute a course of fire.
Prerequisite: Valid RPAL
Time: One day
Fees: $100.00 (CFI members $55.00)

 

CFI – RAPT Course – Combined (Recreational Action Pistol Training)

This course is designed to act as a probationary AP training program and Holster Certification Course and runs two days. While there is some basic classroom training involved, emphasis is placed on practical learning and includes an actual AP match.
Prerequisite: Valid RPAL
Time: Two Days
Fees: $160.00 (CFI Members – $115.00)

Deliverables: Those that successfully complete the course will receive their CFI Holster Certification and have met the initial requirements for classification in the CFI AP Program.


RAPT Course

This course is designed to introduce the experienced holster shooter to the CFI Action Pistol Program. While there is some in class time needed to introduce the shooter to the rules and regulations of the Recreational Action Pistol program, emphasis is placed on practical application of previously learned skills applied to shooting the CFI AP Program.
Prerequisite: Valid RPAL, Previous experience in a holster shooting sport
Time: One Day
Fees: $115.00 (CFI Members – $65.00)

Deliverables: Each student will have met the initial requirements for classification in CFI AP Program, a hard copy of the rule book, summary and outline of available COF.
